Esports and fintech are among the world’s fastest-growing industries and have a massive influence on pop culture, reshaping our lifestyles and the way we consume entertainment. The esports industry is expected to reach $1.8 billion globally in 2022, with Southeast Asia among the world’s fastest-growing markets. Thailand holds the title of the second-largest gaming market in Southeast Asia, with over 67% of the online population (or 34 million people) identifying as gamers. There is a massive opportunity for brands to invest in this space and engage with young digital-savvy consumers via their passion points.

An increasing number of Gen-Z’s and millennials are interested in financial trading, especially decentralised currencies, as they enter their workforce and their purchasing power increases. According to a survey by The Motley Fool, 47% of Gen-Z and 39% of millennial respondents hold cryptocurrencies, making up 40% of investors between the ages of 18 to 40. 82% of Ampverse’s community are young professionals aged 18-34.

Ferdinand Gutierrez, Co-founder and CEO, Ampverse, said, “We’re ready to elevate the overall experience for the fans. Not only are our fans active gamers and esports viewers, but they are also avid digital currency traders and investors, and this partnership was inspired by a collision of their passions. Together with Bitkub, we’re thrilled to create new innovative products and bring excitement to Bacon Time’s community of over ten million followers across Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, and TikTok. The gaming industry will see continuous growth and the future will be driven by technology with the likes of NFTs, play-to-earn, and digital assets. Alongside Web3, it will redefine and reshape the world of gaming and entertainment as we know it.”

Jirayut Srupsrisopa, Group CEO, Bitkub Capital Group Holdings said, “Bitkub has strong intentions to elevate the esports industry by utilizing our blockchain technology. We adapt our business to create activities and valuable experiences for esports fans and communities as a whole, starting with the launch of official stores on Bitkub NFT. This marks a significant milestone which ultimately connects with the future of metaverse and speaks to the potential of leveraging the technology of Bitkub Chain.”
